I am posting these ordinary cards on my blog because this will be my last post until January I am having some time of my blog.

Cheers Vicki

Giving Money this yr

Are you giving money this year and feel it seem a bit boring just to stick money in an envelope, I have older kids in our family & money is what they all want so this year I have made these money wallets that can hang from the tree & they have something to open. Very easy to made just one A4 sheet of card cut it down a little fold in three & decorate with what you like. I have also added a gift voucher holder great for gift voucher Ipod money cards again very easy cut down a A4 card leave one side longer than the other stick down the sides use the Slit punch to make the hole for some where to pull it out from. If anyone wants to know how to do any of these great ways to make the teenagers still feel like they have something spacial to open email me on vickrich2@hotmail.com . I am not going to put items used on each photo it would take to long here is a list of items used for all projects as they are all made on the same idea, CS: In Colours, Holiday Harmony, Stamps: Season of Joy, In the spotlight, Baroque motifs, Occasional Greetings, Merry Merry, Friendly Flowers, Party Punch. Ink: Whisper White Craft, In Colours, Always Artichoke. Other: Styled Silver Hodgepodge, Ribbon a mix of In Colours & Always Artichoke.
I hope you like these & I hope the girls like them too on Christmas morning.

A quick Christmas Card

This is a quick Christmas card I made for a friend who lives in Wagga. I am a bit behind on the Christmas cards this year. This photo doesn't do much for it looks better in in real life, I find it hard to see the bottom part sorry has been raining which makes it hard to get outside to take photo's. I seem to do a lot of masking with this stamp I must feel the need to two tree's not one.

CS: Whisper White. Ink: Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, Elegant Eggplant. Stamp Set: Season of Joy. Other: Brad & Purely Pomegranate ribbon.

Christmas 6x6 scrapbooking page

Here is a 6x6 scrapbook page I did awhile back the kids call it Winter wonder land because of the fake snow very quick and easy to do but looks cute.

CS: Holiday Harmony, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate. Ink: Versa Mark, White Whisper Craft, Purely Pomegranate. Stamps: Crazy for Christmas, Season of Joy, Merry Merry. Other: Brads and Purely Pomegranate ribbon

Jet's first santa photo

Saturday morning was take your dog to the shopping centre to get a photo with Santa. I couldn't resist not doing it so we got up early gave Jet a quick bath & went down to get his photo taken. We waited about 30min in line to get our photo & I think apart from Jet there was only 3 big dogs, the rest where foxy's or small & fluffy. As we got close to Santa I saw him turn around (Santa) to see what dogs where coming up & look on his face when he saw Jet was priceless I wish I had a camera. It was Finlay our turn & trying to get Jet to sit, stand still, look but don't walk was very challenging & poor Santa trying to avoid the droll ( which I thought was minimal) I just thought to myself why do I do these things. After all this the line up to receive our photo was another 40min, I was so proud of Jet he had people taking his photo, patting him, trolleys going past, other digs sniffing where they shouldn't.
Here is our photo of Jet Ethan & Charlotte with Santa

SCS Challenge #3

I must of had a slow day today as I have had time to do a second SCS challenge. This one was a 3D Christmas Tree Box. It's Begining to look like

It's that time of year again time to start getting ready to make all the Christmas cards, decorations & Gift holder's.
I have been playing around with a few different ideas for Christmas & have two trial balls to show. I like how they have turned out and think I will be setting aside some time next weekend to make some more. I have used the Holiday Harmony Paper, a mix of ribbon Purely Pomegranate Satin & Double-stitched, River Rock Double Stitched, Very Vanilla & Mellow Moss Taffeta, Stampin' Glitter & Chunky Sprinkles as a little glitter is always good at Christmas. I have posted two pic's because I wanted to show both on a different angel. I hope you like and if anyone wants to know how to make them I am thinking of doing a class on these balls and a few other Christmas ideas give me an email if I get enough people we will have a balls day:)

12x12 scrapbooking

Here is a scrapbooking page I have been working on. It is not what I was hoping for or how I wanted it to look but close. I need to work on my inking & blending of ink, as this is something I have done very little of in my scrapping. I am going to make a card to match this page using the Faux Silk technique, I will post it when it is done but I don't know when that will be as I seem to be running out of time in the days.
I think I will try and fix the side of this page it is bugging me a lot & the photo not doing a lot for it either..

15min B/Day card

Charlotte (my daughter) has been invited to so many b/day parties in this last mth you would think I would be ready with cards of all things, but no. We got up later this morning & as we stumbled around each other to get breakfast we remembered that Charlotte had another party today. As I was wrapping the gift I started thinking that I have no card to give, I had completely forgot to make a card. Richard finished wrapping, finished dressing & started on hair as I made the card, this is my 15min b/day card for a 4yr old boy. I think it's pretty good for a quick think up. ( I also took the time to take a photo).

No Layers into a Layers Card

Ok I couldn't leave this as a no layer card, I have made it into a card with just one layer & think it is a huge improvement. I will have to do the same with the friendship one as well I think.

CD Tin

I have had this cd tin in my desk draw for about 2yr's not knowing what to do with it, as I was looking on splitcoaststampers the other day I came across a completed cd tin that had been covered in SU paper & stamps. Inspired by this tin I am doing one of my own, my tin is going to be filled with photo's of my family & the many face's they pull ( the silly photo's that never seem to get scraped because they are a one off or just to ugly). I have only got as far as covering the front & back of the tin, now just waiting on photo's to be ready & picked up. I will take photo's as I go & will keep uploading them. My sister is comming up from Melbourne to visit this week so I don't know if I will get back to my tin in the next couple of weeks, I think Michelle (my sister) wants to do Christmas cards while she is here.

6x6 Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking in 6x6 is something I have only done once before, I found it fast & fun to do. I had time today to do a couple of 6x6 pages in my SU! album. I have mixed feelings about my little pages from todays efforts, the page of Ethan & Richard is my favorite but Charlotte's I just couldn't get it right & lost the plot on it somewhere. There is no real technique in either of these pages just playing with new products.

All About Techique

I went to my fist Stampin' Up! event on the weekend in Sydney with the girls, the regional seminar. I had a great time & want to thank the girls one more time for taking me along with them. I feel inspired now & spent the day trying different technique's.I saw on a YouTube-Broadcast Yourself, a few months back this cracked glass embossing look. I didn't have my normal scrap day yesterday so I had the chance to try a few different things & this cracked, broken glass look was one that found it's way onto a card, I liked it that much. The More Mustard ink on attempt #1, is a colour I don't normally use & I thought what is the chance of it working the first time & it did, the cracked look worked perfectly. I think the best part of this card would be the tag on the bottom, I made it so I could use the More Mustard again.

It has been awhile since I have done any scrapbooking. I think because I have been having so much fun playing with all my new SU products.
